Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you use Five Sharp, we store:

• Your email address: used solely to send you magic-link sign-in emails. We do not store passwords.
• Your household profile: adults, kids, dietary restrictions, spice preference, grocery type, measurement system, and serve-time format. This is what we feed into plan generation.
• Optional context you provide: notes you add before each week’s plan, and any feedback you submit when regenerating a plan.
• Your generated plans: the menu, recipes, timeline, and shopping list we produce for you, plus a record of which cuisines you’ve had recently so we don’t repeat them.
• Billing information (paid plans): when you subscribe, your card details are entered directly with our payment processor and are never stored on our servers. We keep only a billing identifier and your current plan status so we can manage your subscription.
• Usage and error data: a small set of product-analytics events tied to your account (for example, generating or downloading a plan), plus technical error reports, used to keep Five Sharp working and to improve it. See “Third-party services” and “Cookies” below.

Card details for paid plans are entered directly with our payment processor (Stripe) and never touch Five Sharp’s servers. We store only the billing identifiers and plan status we need to manage your subscription.

How we use it

We use the data above to operate Five Sharp: to generate Sunday dinner plans that respect your household’s constraints, to process subscriptions and billing for paid plans, and to keep the service reliable and improve it. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your data to train AI models. We do measure advertising: if you arrive from a Google ad, we report to Google that a signup or subscription happened, so we can tell which ads work. That report identifies the ad click, not you — we never send your household details, meal plans, or dietary information to any advertising platform.

The public Sunday Gallery

Completed meal plans on the free plan are featured in our public Sunday Gallery. Only the plan itself is shared — the menu, recipes, cooking timeline, and shopping list. We never publish your name, email, household members, ages, or any other personal information. Paid plans are shared by default but can be kept private from your plan settings.

Third-party services we use

Five Sharp runs on a small set of services that necessarily see some of your data:

• Supabase stores your profile, plans, and authentication state.
• Vercel hosts the application.
• OpenAI generates your plans. When you click Generate, your household profile, any context you’ve added, and any prior regeneration feedback are included in the prompt sent to OpenAI. OpenAI does not retain prompts submitted through its API for training under its current API data policy.
• Resend delivers your magic-link sign-in emails.
• Stripe processes payments and manages subscriptions for paid plans. Your card details go directly to Stripe, which returns only the subscription status we need to unlock your plan. We never receive your full card number.
• PostHog records product-analytics events tied to your account (for example, which features you use) so we can understand and improve Five Sharp. We do not enable session recording or automatic click capture.
• Sentry captures technical error reports when something breaks, configured to scrub personal information, so we can diagnose and fix problems.
• Cloudflare routes DNS for fivesharp.com.

Cookies

We use session cookies that keep you signed in, and a short-lived referral cookie if you arrive through a friend’s invite link so we can credit the referral. Our product-analytics provider (PostHog) may also set cookies to recognize return visits. Google Analytics and Google Ads set cookies that let us measure which ads and referral sources lead to signups. We do not sell your data, and we do not currently run remarketing or retargeting campaigns.

Your rights

You can:

• View any data we have about you by signing in and reviewing your profile and plans.
• Delete your account and all associated data at any time by emailing us at notices@fivesharp.com. We will delete within 30 days, except records we are required to keep for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons, such as payment records held by our payment processor.
• Export your plans by copying them from the app.

Children

Five Sharp is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a material way, we will email you at the address on file before the change takes effect.
