Sunday dinner ideas by diet

A whole Sunday dinner that fits a diet is harder to find than a single recipe that does. The main is usually fine; it is the chicken stock in the rice, the bacon in the greens, the gelatin in the dessert or the wine on the table that breaks it. These pages list dinners where nothing does.

Every page states exactly what it checks for, in plain words. Read it before you trust the label — our definition of gluten-free or low-carb may be stricter or looser than yours.

What these pages do and do not do

The rule is strict

A plan is listed under a diet only when every component fits — the main, each side, the dessert and both drinks. Each dish is judged on its own ingredient list, and a plan that fails on one dish is not listed, however small the dish.

“Almost fits” is shown, never counted

When the main fits but one other dish does not, the plan appears in a separate section with the reason — “vegetarian except the dessert (gelatin)” — so you can serve it and skip that dish. Those plans are not in the page’s count.

Ingredients, not certification

The check reads what a recipe calls for. It cannot see how an ingredient was sourced, slaughtered or handled, so no plan here is certified halal, kosher or safe for an allergy. If a reaction is on the line, read every label yourself.

Your household can set a default

Set a diet under Settings and every plan Five Sharp writes for you is held to it — each dish is checked, and a plan that breaks the rule is rewritten before you see it.
